The Fifth International Conference on ecological industrialization and comprehensive rural revitalization took place in Hanzhong, China on 5 - 9 May 2023. With over 400 experts and specialists in attendance from Asia, Europe, Oceania, and numerous universities in China, the conference was a resounding success. The conference aimed to integrate academic exchanges, government decision-making, and enterprise practice, featuring diverse speakers from academia, government, and industry.
The conference program was structured into five segments: opening ceremony, plenary presentation, theme presentation, parallel sessions, and closing ceremony. Key themes encompassed human-nature relationships, regional ecological industrialization, sustainable land use, modern organic agriculture, and rural revitalization. Six parallel sessions provided a platform for 139 experts and scholars to present their research. Notably, the closing ceremony featured the presentation of awards for Best Paper, Outstanding Presentation, and Corporate Practice for the first time.
