From September 19th to 22th, 2023, the symposium was hosted at the University of the Aegean, Lesvos, Greece. Prof. Yansui Liu was invited to attend the conference and delivered a keynote speech on "Characteristics of Population Flow and Rural Revitalization in China". During the conference, Prof. Yansui Liu actively engaged in academic exchanges with Darren Smith, Chair of the IGU Commission on Population Geography, Nik Lomax, Chair of the IGU Applied Geography Commission, Thanasis Kizos, Director of the School of Geography at the University of the Aegean, and other representatives. He provided a detailed introduction to the development orientation, research areas, platform support, and recent research project achievements of IGU-AGLE. Discussions also revolved around future cooperation prospects in conference organization, outcome publication, field visits, and other areas.
