From June 5th to 9th, 2023, the 30th Annual Colloquium of the IGU Commission on the Sustainability of Rural Systems (IGU-CSRS) was held at the University of Lodz in Poland. Prof. Yansui Liu was invited to attend and delivered a keynote speech on "Sustainable Poverty Alleviation and Green Development in China's Underdeveloped Areas".
During the conference, Prof. Yansui Liu had discussions with Valerià Paül, Chair of IGU-CSRS, and Holly Barcus, Vice-Chair of IGU-CSRS. Views were exchanged on future collaborative content between the two commissions. Discussions during the conference also included in-depth exchanges among participants on topics such as sustainable poverty alleviation and green development in underdeveloped regions of China, collective actions to improve elite governance in rural development, with representatives from the United States, Germany, Spain, Australia, Belgium, India, Brazil, Poland, Argentina, and other countries.
