Nature is the mother of life, human beings are born of nature, and the relationship between human beings and nature is the most fundamental one in human society. A good natural environment contains infinite ecological resources and economic values, which can continuously provide rich and high-quality ecological products and stable and sustainable ecological services for human development. With the increasing intensity and diversification of human economic activities, the limited supply of quality ecological products and the unlimited growth of human social demand have become new contradictions and problems in the relationship between supply and demand for land. It is important to adhere to the holistic view of nature as a community of life between humans and nature, wth a green development concept that ‘green water and green mountains are golden mountains’. In pursuing this concept, we can promote the construction of an ecological civilisation in accordance with the principles of the evolution of natural systems applied to industrial development, so as to achieve the goal of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature and coordinated development of ecology and economy.

Ecological industrialization is a very important component of thehigh-quality development of modern agriculture and rural revitalization. Thriving industries, livable ecology and a prosperous life are the keys to rural revitalization. Rural areas have a huge green ecological system, an important agricultural production system and a unique social and cultural system. Be implementing the strategy of ecological industrialization and rural revitalization, it may be not only conducive to meeting people's growing demand for ecological products and services, but also to optimizing rural industrial structures, creating new green momentum and sharing new opportunities for sustainable land use and rural development. The conference is oriented towards Chinese modernization and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and aims to provide a platform for scholars to widely exchange new theories, methods and new cases of international ecological industrialization and rural revitalization, and to sort out and propose universal models for the development of ecological civilization, rural revitalization paradigms and ecological product value transformation paths. Experts, scholars, social groups and business people from home and abroad are warmly welcomed to attend this international conference.

The conference will include plenary, oral, and poster sessions. The topics of the conference include but are not limited to:

（1）Human-nature relationships and human-earth systems science

（2）Transformation path of green mountains into golden mountains

（3）Regional ecological industrialization and high-quality development

（4）Mechanisms and pathways for realizing the value of ecological products

（5）Sustainable land use and its policy innovation

（6）Human settlement environment improvement and rural construction

（7）Modern organic agriculture and policies to enrich the people

（8）The ways of rural modernization against the background of globalization

（9）Regional model of rural revitalization and its practice in Hanzhong City

l   A special issue of the journal Land Use Policy will be devoted to the publication of selected conference papers.

All delegates are invited to participate in the conference excursion on land engineering and modern agriculture in Hanzhong City, demonstrating issues of land reform, ecological industrialization and rural development in Hanjiang River Basin.

Early bird registration fee is RMB 1200 per person (US$ 180) until March 31 2023, thereafter RMB 1500 per person (US$ 220)

Note: The fee includes regular meals, hotel accommodation (4 nights) and admission fees. All participants will be accommodated in standard double rooms. The detailed payment method will be introduced soon.
