1. Background

Ecological Industrialization is an important part of the high-quality development of modern agriculture and rural revitalization. Thriving industries are the contents, livable ecology is the key and prosperous life is the base on ongoing process. Rural areas are a huge green ecological system, an important agricultural production system, and a unique social-cultural system. Implementing the strategy of ecological industrialization and rural revitalization can satisfy people's growing demand for ecological products services and optimize rural industrial structures, which will create new green momentum and sharing new opportunities for sustainable land use and rural development. The aim of the conference is to further facilitate the exchange of knowledge between academic scientists, researchers and practitioners to increase collaboration while presenting and discussing different ideas, challenges and  potential solution on established or emerging topics related to research and practice in rural development science, achieving Chinese modernization and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Very warmly welcome to attend this international conference.

6. Special Issue and Paper Selection

We will conduct a paper selection activity to encourage outstanding young scholars and outstanding students organized and implemented by the Academic Committee of the conference in this conference. Attendees will include young scholars and students (undergraduate, master, and doctoral students). The submitted papers are not formally published in public, and should give an oral presentation or poster presentation in this conference. The committee will select the best papers for publication in the prestigious international journal Land Use Policy (Special Issues: Sustainable Land Use against Global Challenges).

7. Academic Exchange Format

The conference will have different forms of communication, such as invited oral presentations, oral presentations at sessions, round-table discussions and session panels.

A. Invited Reports

The invited reports will be held in Shaanxi University of Technology (South Campus) on May 6th. Famous academicians and experts worldwide have been invited to attend the conference and make specially invited presentations. Please pay attention to the 3^rd Announcement for the detailed list and contents.

B. Oral Reports at Sessions

Invited presentations and general presentations are included in sessions. The language may be Chinese or English. The total duration of the invited presentation is 20 minutes, including 15 minutes of presentation and 5 minutes of discussion; The total duration of a general presentation is 15 minutes, including 12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for discussion. Be sure to select the subject to which you want to submit the abstract and indicate ‘oral presentation’ or ‘exhibition board’.

C. Compilation of Abstracts

The conference will issue the Abstracts of 2023 International Conference on Ecological Industrialization and Comprehensive Rural Revitalization for reference.

8. Excursion

The excursion will be held on May 8, 2023, in Hanzhong, China. Two excursive routes are tentatively arranged:

Route1 Rural Revitalization. Liuba County, Hanzhong (rural tourism - the integration of the tertiary industry - the expansion of collective economy - the innovation and practice of rural revitalization models).

Route2 Two Mountains Practice. Xixiang County, Hanzhong (the development of tea industry - the integration of agriculture and tourism - the integration of production, living, ecology - the development of village collective economy; Yang County, Hanzhong (the protection of crested ibis - coexistence of lotus and frog – brown rice planting base - organic enterprise production and processing, etc).
